Carpet Cleaning
Carpets can be one of the most expensive purchases for your home. Choosing to have your carpets professionally cleaned should be not only to keep them looking great but regular cleaning and maintenance will keep them strong, long lasting, prolong the colour, eliminate impact noise and absorb sound, keep them non-slip and prolong the softness and luxuriousness of them. As well as adding beauty to your home the carpets improve the Indoor Air Quality by acting as a filter for allergy inducing dust mites and other micro irritants that can affect your family.
Common Concerns about Carpet Cleaning:
Will you shrink my Carpet? The majority of carpets will not shrink and those that can, will only do so if over-wet. My experience and training has taught me which carpets to be careful with and my powerful professional equipment never over-wets a carpet.
How long will my Carpet take to dry? Whilst synthetic pile carpets can be dry within an hour, Wool rich carpets can take longer due to their absorbency – generally 3 to 4 hours. This is due to my high-tech hot water extraction machine’s powerful suction removing as much moisture as possible.
Will my Carpet re-soil quicker after it has been cleaned? Unprofessional cleaners may leave cleaning solution residue in your Carpet which will attract and hold on to dirt. I will always rinse out any cleaning solution leaving your carpet clean, soft and fluffy.
Should I only Clean my Carpet when it looks dirty? Your Carpet works like a filter in your home and absorbs much of the soil and pollutants from the indoor air and traffic. This needs to be cleaned out for two reasons, firstly the soiling will sit at the bottom of your carpets pile and act like sandpaper wearing down the fibres. And secondly cleaning your carpet will improve the indoor air quality in your home, especially important if you suffer from allergies or breathing problems.
Spot and Stain Removal
All stains will require different kinds of stain removers and I will do my very best to get your stains out based on my training and experience. I will be happy to answer any of your questions or advise on cost.
Common concerns about spot and stain removal:
Can you get out Tea and Coffee stains? In the majority of cases yes, however in some cases due to the age of the stain or the carpet fibre type they may be damaged beyond repair. The quicker I get to a stain the better chance that I can remove them.
I’ve spilt red wine on my carpet can I use white wine to remove it? White wine will merely dilute the red. It would be better to use warm water and paper towels.
Can you guarantee to get my stain out? Unfortunately it is not possible to get all stains out as some damage the carpet’s dye. However roughly 85% of stains I will be able to remove.
I’ve used everything under the sink to remove a stain. Have I damaged the carpet? As a rule of thumb everything you put on your carpet you must rinse out, otherwise bleaching can occur. If you have a Wool carpet you must never use high pH cleaning fluids or rub the carpet as you can permanently damage it.
